When at the synagogue, it is tradition to wear a tallit, prayer shawl, over one's shoulders. Decorative clips are used to keep the shawl in place. These clips are gold plated and have a Torah ark design with intricate details crafted all over, such as the Star of David. Around the gold ark is a silver plated, braided design. The two clips are attached by a link chain.
